My book is called Skateboard Renegade.I picked this book because it's one of my hobbies and because it's non-fiction.This book talks about a 10 year old boy that has 4 friends.But he's about to face the biggest challenge of his life.He wants to go to a new School Prep but he can't go to his old school with his best friends.So he goes to that school and he loved it.But before he went to that school he wanted to have a couple of fun days with his friends.So he has some fun with his friends and his friends tell him "The New cool thing that skateboarders do is dye their hair blonde and have a piercing on their ear.So it takes him a while to get the money for that.It turns out he has to steal from his little sister.Once he gets the money he goes straight to business.But when he goes to see if all his friends do it he feels so left out because no one else has done it.
The 10 year old boy has lots of fun at school he made a new friend and he has to do a project with him.He says he wants to make a ramp with some plywood so thats what he does. While he works on that he has trouble with his family and friends.There is one part in the book where the boy and his friends want to go skateboarding because thats what they really love to do on the weekends,but the thing is they went to go skateboard at their old school.But in their old school they had a rule about skateboarding around there.So they go skateboarding at their old school and they have fun for about 30-40 minutes until one his friends skates to fast and there was a woman walking by with her baby and the boy's friend bumps into her stroller which has the baby and the stroller rolls down to the street but luckily his friend saved the baby in time.
But once the baby had been saved the woman started screaming and yelling for help right after the baby had been saved.So a police officer comes up and ask the woman : What's Wrong?".She says that these children almost killed my baby! So the officer even saw them skateboarding so all of them must be in a lot of trouble.The officer tells them to get in the car because he is was going to drive them home.Every time someone got off the Police man got off he would go explain to eveyone's mother what they were doing and why they got droven over to there houses.
When the main character got off his mom was really dissapointed.
But in the end he passed all of his classes and his uncle from California gives him a call and he says if he would like to come to visit.He said that there was going to be a proffesional skateboarding contest and he was wondering if he wanted to watch it.I recomend this book because if you like skateboarding this is a good story about how you can get lead to a sponsor from Element or Zero and those aren't the best company.So go look for this book it's the Best book i've read.
